Canon XHA1

This picture shows the Canon XHA1 High Definition camera as setup for a major competition. This includes feeds to go directly to a computer for live editing and the production of DVDs on short notice to athletes. In addition there are direct feeds to HD monitors for direct viewing of actual images. The Canon XHA1 includes many advanced features for producing high quality High Definition video. It also has 8 hours of portable battery backup. Additional external battery storage and generator are also available for unlimited power life.

The tripod has a commercial quality fluid head for steady movement and extends up to 8 feet to shoot over crowds along with a remote control handle and available portable video monitor for remote viewing and direct connections to PCs for storage and viewing.

Custom Video Editing and Non-linear Editing System

This setup is custom designed by Joe Kaplenk to give the most efficient use of space and time when video taping an event. It allows for the production of custom DVDs on short notice and allows for long term storage of video. Because this  system is very portable and highly modular it typically takes 2 1/2 hrs. to setup and 1 1/2 hrs. to teardown Besides the features below it has 1200 watts of batter backup and capability of running off a generator that we own.

Custom Built PC

• Custom built PC with a Quad core processor, 4 Gigs of memory and 4 Terabytes (4,000,000,000,000 byts) of disk storage
• Removable hard drive for additional storage and movement to long-term storage.
• Capability to have three camera feeds
• Simultaneous output to two monitors. 
• Networking capability and file sharing

HP Media PC

• 3 Gigs of Memory
• 1 Terabytes Disk storage
• Removable Media drive for additional storage and movement to long term storage.
• Capability of two handling two camera inputs
• Networking capabiity and file sharing

Dual Monitors

• System has two full High Definition monitors with multiple inputs from computer, camera and DVD player among other devices'

Mixers

• There are two mixers
• Mixer that is directly attached to Media Server computer for computer control of input.
• Another mixer as shown above with 4 XLR inputs and two RCA inputs to allow for proper control of the sound feed, This is especially important for house feeds where the site can provide the sound for the announcer and music.

Printer

• Workstation includes a printer than can be used to print or scan forms or anything needed on paper
